🌍 My passion for languages

Since childhood, languages have always been my great passion. That's why, in 2015, I began my degree in Translation and Interpreting with English and French at the University of Alicante.


Mobility experiences that enriched my education:

  1. University of Turku (Finland) 🇫🇮 – one year.
  2. University of Ottawa (Canada) 🇨🇦 – one semester.

It was during this time that I discovered my true passion for interpreting.

 

🚀 Specialized Training

 

In 2019, I specialized in conference interpreting, public service interpreting, and business interpreting while completing the MSc Interpreting at Edinburgh (Scotland). My focus areas included:

Recognizing that training in translation and interpreting alone isn’t enough, in 2023 I pursued a Master’s degree in the European Union and the Mediterranean, where I deepened my knowledge of economics, law, geopolitics, and culture.

 

I am currently undertaking a PhD in Modern Languages, exploring the right to understand and be understood as a way to ensure equitable access to public healthcare.

Freelance Interpreter and Translator

Working languages: Spanish, Catalan, English, and French.

Interpretation modalities: Simultaneous, consecutive, whispered, and liaison/bilateral interpreting.

Fields of expertise: Criminal, international, and environmental law; human rights and equality; immigration; economics, insurance, and finance; business; clinical trials; and healthcare.

  • Arbitration and expert witness services at the Civil and Commercial Arbitration Court (CIMA) and the International Court of Arbitration (ICC).
  • Interpretation during FBI training sessions for Spanish law enforcement on online crimes against minors.
  • Assignments for the Spanish General Council of the Judiciary (C.G.P.J.) on topics such as money laundering, human trafficking, drug trafficking, protection of vulnerable adults, cybercrime, and heritage protection.
  • High-profile events on feminism in social and workplace contexts, women’s rights, and domestic and gender-based violence.
  • Meeting on abortion rights as part of the campaign “My Voice, My Choice,” with former President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and former Minister of Equality Irene Montero.

  • OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) meetings with the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training on the state of education in Spain.

  • Quarterly Town Hall meetings for various general insurance companies and consulting firms.
  • NGO meetings on topics such as economic empowerment, female genital mutilation, healthcare, water infrastructure, and sanitation in Africa.
